Botox (Botulinum toxin) is a toxin obtained from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. It shows its effect by preventing the release of substances that provide transmission at nerve endings and stopping the transmission between the nerves and the organs that the nerves reach. Stopping the nerve transmission causes the functions of the organ that the nerve reaches to decrease or completely disappear. It can be used for aesthetic and cosmetic purposes, to reduce wrinkles on the face that occur with the movements of the facial muscles, to prevent their formation, to reduce sweating in areas where excessive sweating occurs, and in the treatment of chronic migraine.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
